Heather Rawlin

A successful product of the PTC distance learning courses herself, Heather has been proofreading and copy editing for fourteen years. She worked for six years at a firm of typesetters, where she was a project manager taking academic publications from manuscript right through to print-ready and digital formats. Heather worked closely with freelance proofreaders and copy editors, as well as with the in-house production team of typesetters and quality control readers. She started her freelance editorial business in 2015, and works with a variety of academic publishers, educational institutions and commercial businesses. Heather has degrees in the History of Art and experience of editorial work in medical and scientific publishing as well as the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
